|In order to determine which version of Easy CD Creator you've
1. Look on the left side of the original box, at the bottom in the black box, it will state "Windows 95/98/NT4.0/2000.
2. If you only have the CD, insert the CD and the Autorun.inf should start the installation process. Close the install by pressing "Exit", Open Windows Explorer, under the drive letter for your CD-ROM drive it will show "Ecdc_402(X:)."
3. If the above is not listed correctly, you can also look at the details of any file on the CD and if it is listed as 4:02 AM it is most certainly the 4.02 version.
If any of the above is listed as anything other than 4.02, you will not be able to use this software in Windows ME, even with the updates.
All versions below 4.02 came out nearly a year before Windows Me and are not compatible. If it is version 4.02 or higher, you will be able to update to 4.02D or higher and use the software successfully.
